Two bumps on the road through review
In the spirit of transparency: we were rejected twice. First, an automated scan flagged the app for holding a "network server" entitlement with "no matching functionality" — that's the OAuth loopback redirect for Google sign-in (RFC 8252): a temporary listener on 127.0.0.1 that catches one authorization code and shuts down. Explained, accepted. Second, the reviewer needed working demo credentials to test a real pipeline, so we provisioned a temporary key scoped to a single bucket. Two round-trips, three days end to end — and for an app whose whole pitch is "no servers," being asked what our server entitlement is for has a certain comedy to it.
Why one-time, not subscription
Ripplic runs no servers, has no account system, and takes none of your data — which means no infrastructure burning money every month. The launch price, and an honest heads-up
$49.99 is the launch price. The next big feature — already in testing — is Google Drive as a source: cloud-to-cloud sync (Drive → S3, nothing stored in between). When it ships, the price goes up. Early adopters keep the upgrade for free — that's the best part of one-time pricing: we raise the price, you don't pay the difference.
